Many of you know that we have been leading more active lifestyles since we graduated from college a few years ago. It turns out that all of that fast food and studying lead to increased stress and an increased waist line. When the most exercise you do all day is walk from one class to another, it’s easy to pack on pounds and bad habits. Of course, joining the military is a good way to get on track. Nothing like having folks scream at you to make you run a little faster. During the time I was in basic training getting my booty into gear, Mike started a fitness journey of his own. Since then, we’ve been living healthier and happier.
Michael’s first race was the 2008 Marine Corps Marathon, and since then, he’s kept the training up and added some triathlons to the mix. I’ve completed some races of my own in my love/hate relationship with running. Here’s some photos of our exercise adventures thus far:
