We traveled home to Clarksville, Tennessee this year for our Christmas break. We got to spend just over a week hanging out with the Michael’s family and my mother and sister. Thankfully, we did most of our Christmas shopping online ahead of time so we didn’t have to spend much time in the crowds at the mall. The boys spent a lot of time playing video games. Pretty sure Bryan and Mike hurt their backs when playing Wii boxing with reckless abandon, but they sure did put on a show.
Each time we’re in town, we try to meet up with old friends. This time around, I was able to catch dinner with Molly and Michaela. Before dinner, we met at Michaela’s place to meet her beautiful month-old baby girl Chloe!
Michael was able to convince Andrew to spend an afternoon doing one of Mike’s favorite things: BOWLING. Of course, we made one of the games completely crazy and took turns deciding on new ways to throw the ball.
For the first time in about 17 or so years, we got a WHITE CHRISTMAS! The snow started falling on Christmas Eve and continued into Christmas morning. We all got lots of great gifts this year and enjoyed a steak dinner and turtle cheesecake prepared by Michael’s mom. Of course, we always wish we had more time to hang out in Tennessee, but the time was fun while it lasted. Here’s hoping that Christmas 2011 will be just as great!
